Artist Film & Music Competition
The Arts Alliance, Film & Music Competition is open to artists and musicians at all levels of expertise. It gives students, amateurs, and professionals the opportunity to learn and compete with others then showcase their work with film production and music entertainment with screenings at the TAA FILM FESTIVAL event.
The film category allows you to enter into one or more of three areas:
One-and-a-half-minute video reels
Three-minute video reels
Thirty-minute shorts.
Each submission will be judged based on:
Visual Quality
Storyline and Script Content
Silent Impact or Audio Quality
The music competition allows you to enter into one or more categories.
Each song is an entry. It can be original or covered music as an:
Individual Instrumentalists
Soloist
Spoken Word Artist
Band, Choir or Ensemble of two or more participants.
ALL ENTRIES ARE SUBMITTED AS VIDEOS
The entry fee is $50 and $100 for Bands, Choirs and Ensembles
Three Awards will be given as follows:
One $1,000.00 GRAND PRIZE
to the number one selected video overall.
Two winners will share in Gift Awards valued at $500.00
to the second and third place videos overall.
Entries will be judged by local musicians, teachers, or professionals.
Finalists will be showcased in the TAA FILM FESTIVAL EVENT Screening on May 9, 2026

Submission Release Agreement For The Arts Alliance, LLC.
By paying and submitting a video, film, music, or multimedia work ("Your Submission") to The Arts Alliance, LLC for participation in its Film and Music Competition ("Competition"), the undersigned Entrant (or Parent/Guardian, if under 18) agrees to the following:
1. Ownership and Rights Retained
Entrants retain full ownership and copyright of their Submission. This agreement does not transfer or assign any intellectual property rights to The Arts Alliance, LLC.
2. License to Use Submission
The Entrant grants The Arts Alliance, LLC, its affiliates, partners, and authorized agents a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:
- Display, stream, reproduce, and publicly perform the Submission during the Competition;
- Use the Submission (in whole or in part) in promotional materials, event marketing, press releases, and social media campaigns;
- Include the Submission in archives, recordings, or compilations related to the Competition;
- Share the Submission with collaborators, sponsors, and media partners for promotional purposes.
Entrants will be credited wherever feasible.
3. Use of Covered Songs / Third-Party Material
If the Submission includes performances of copyrighted songs or materials owned by others (e.g., music covers):
- Entrant affirms that all required licenses, clearances, or permissions have been obtained for any copyrighted third-party content included in the Submission.
- Entrant understands that The Arts Alliance, LLC is not responsible for securing music or media rights on their behalf.
- Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Arts Alliance, LLC from any claims, liabilities, or damages resulting from unauthorized use of copyrighted content.
4. Minors and Consent
Entrants under the age of 18 must have their submission authorized by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must sign below, affirming that they:
- Consent to the minor’s participation in the Competition;
- Agree to the terms of this Submission Release Agreement on the minor’s behalf.
5. No Compensation
Entrants acknowledge that no monetary compensation will be provided for the use of their Submission, beyond any awards or recognition specified in the official Competition rules.
6. Acknowledgment
By submitting a work, the Entrant (or Parent/Guardian) affirms that:
- The Submission complies with all rules of the Competition;
- The information provided is accurate and truthful.
By submitting the application and payment, you agree and consent to The Arts Alliance, LLC using your submission as your
electronic signature and confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.
