Artist Film & Music Competition


The Arts Alliance Film & Music Competition is open to artists and musicians of all levels. Whether you are a student, amateur, or a professional, this competition offers you a unique opportunity to learn, compete, and showcase your work in film production and music entertainment. Finalists will be featured at the TAA FILM FESTIVAL Screening in May 2026.


FILM & MUSIC COMPETITION


ALL ENTRIES ARE SUBMITTED AS VIDEOS:


Participants may enter their video(s) into one or more of the following film formats:


  • One-and-a-half-minute video reel
  • Three-minute video reels
  • Thirty-minute short films


NO VIOLENCE OR PORNOGRAPHY ALLOWED




FILM COMPETITORS


Each film must fit into one of these content categories:


  • Drama
  • Comedy
  • Spiritual
  • Advertisement/Promo (Ads)



Each submission will be judged based on:


  • Visual Quality
  • Storyline & Script Content
  • Silent Impact or Audio Quality


MUSIC COMPETITORS


Each song counts as one entry and can be either an original or a cover song. Covered songs must give credit to the original writers in the video. You may submit as one of the following:


  • Individual Instrumentalist
  • Soloist (vocal)
  • Spoken Word Artist
  • Band, Choir, or Ensemble of  2 or more participants


ENTRY FEES


  • $50 per entry as an individual
  • $100 per band, choir, or ensemble entry


AWARDS


  • One $1,000 Grand Prize for the top overall video
  • Second and Third Place winners will share in gift awards valued at $500 total


All entries will be judged by a panel of local musicians, teachers, and industry professionals.


KEY DATES


  • Entry Open: October 3, 2025
  • Submission Deadline: March 3, 2026
  • Winners Notified: April 1, 2026
  • TAA Film Festival Screening: May, 2026

Submission Release Agreement For The Arts Alliance, LLC.


By paying and submitting a video, film, music, or multimedia work ("Your Submission") to The Arts Alliance, LLC for participation in its Film and Music Competition ("Competition") the undersigned Entrant (or Parent/Guardian, if under 18) agrees to the following:


1. Ownership and Rights Retained By YOU the Entrant

Entrants retain full ownership and copyright of their Submission. This agreement does not transfer or assign any intellectual property rights to The Arts Alliance, LLC. or its partners.


2. License to Use Submission

The Entrant grants The Arts Alliance, LLC, its affiliates, partners, and authorized agents a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

  • Display, stream, reproduce, and publicly perform the Submission during and for the Competition ;
  • Use the Submission (in whole or in part) in promotional materials, event marketing, press releases, and social media campaigns;
  • Include the Submission in archives, recordings, or compilations related to the Competition;
  • Share the Submission with collaborators, sponsors, and media partners for promotional purposes.

Entrants will be credited wherever feasible.


3. Use of Covered Songs / Third-Party Material

If the Submission includes performances of copyrighted songs or materials owned by others (e.g., music covers):

  • Entrant affirms that all required licenses, clearances, or permissions have been obtained for any copyrighted third-party content included in the Submission.
  • Entrant understands that The Arts Alliance, LLC is not responsible for securing music or media rights on their behalf.
  • Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Arts Alliance, LLC from any claims, liabilities, or damages resulting from unauthorized use of copyrighted content.
  • Entrant must credit the source of all copyrighted material on the video.


4. Minors and Consent

Entrants under the age of 18 must have their submission authorized by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must submit, affirming that they:

  • Consent to the minor’s participation in the Competition;
  • Agree to the terms of this Submission Release Agreement on the minor’s behalf.


5. No Compensation

Entrants acknowledge that no monetary compensation will be provided for the use of their Submission, beyond any awards or recognition specified in these rules. A minimum of 25 entrants must enter the contest in order for anyone to receive an award/prize.


6. Acknowledgment

By submitting a work, the Entrant (or Parent/Guardian) affirms that:

  • The Submission complies with all the rules of the Competition;
  • The information provided is accurate and truthful.


By submitting the application and payment, you agree and consent to The Arts Alliance, LLC using your submission and payment as your electronic signature and you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement. NO REFUNDS
